With chef Keith Burke
Music by Alexander Wolfe
Exhibition tour with curators Alexis Soul-Gray and Kelly Jessiman
and an introduction to Project Art Works by founder Kate Adams

£75 per person – limited tickets available

We’re excited to continue our evolving programme of Amici Salon supper club evenings at Amici Studio.

This edition of Amici Salon marks the opening of our new exhibition Declarative Language, offering guests the first opportunity to experience the show ahead of the public opening.

The evening brings together a special group of contributors across art, food and music:

– Kate Adams (Project Art Works) will introduce the organisation’s work supporting neurodivergent artists and their communities, alongside a presentation of their current exhibition on the ground floor of 12 Claremont, on its closing weekend.

– Curators Alexis Soul-Gray and Kelly Jessiman will introduce Declarative Language, sharing the thinking behind the exhibition and the artists involved.

– Guest chef Keith Burke will prepare a shared, studio-style dinner. A private chef with over 35 years of experience across Michelin-starred kitchens, luxury households, and the fashion and film industries, Keith creates refined, nutrient-dense cuisine using exceptional organic and biodynamic ingredients, drawing on Mediterranean, Lebanese, French and Japanese influences.

– Alexander Wolfe will share reflections on his new album Everythinglessness — a deeply personal exploration of masculinity and men’s mental health — alongside a small, intimate selection of songs.

Curated by Alexis Soul-Gray and Kelly Jessiman, Declarative Language brings together a group of artists whose practices are shaped by lived experience of motherhood, care, and neurodivergence. The exhibition explores how language — spoken, written and embodied — is formed, disrupted and reimagined through these experiences, creating space for voices that are often overlooked or unheard.

The evening will unfold as follows:
– Welcome drink and arrival
– Introduction and presentation by Kate Adams / Project Art Works
– Introduction to Declarative Language with the curators
– A shared, studio-style dinner prepared by Keith Burke
– A live contribution from Alexander Wolfe
– Time for conversation, reflection and connection

As with all Amici Salon events, this is conceived as a relaxed, social evening rather than a formal programme — a chance to gather, listen and exchange ideas around the table.

Tickets are £75 per person, including dinner, a welcome drink and a glass of wine. Additional drinks will be available to purchase from the Amici bar. Capacity is intentionally limited to maintain an intimate and engaging atmosphere.

    About Amici Studio

Amici Studio is a multi-use creative space based in Hastings, East Sussex. Opening in January 2026 at 12 Claremont, next to Hastings Library, the Studio delivers a public programme of exhibitions, events and learning activity for artists, creative practitioners and local communities across Hastings, St Leonards and the wider East Sussex coast.

    Exhibitions

The programme is structured around six two-month blocks across the year, each anchored by a core exhibition. These exhibitions form the backbone of Amici Studio’s activity and are accompanied by a wider layer of public-facing events, discussions and artist-led activity.

    Events and Public Programme

Alongside exhibitions, Amici Studio hosts talks, performances, Salon Dinners and a monthly talks programme launching in spring 2026. These events create opportunities for conversation, exchange and shared experience around contemporary practice.

    Artist Development

Amici Studio supports artist development through mentoring, portfolio conversations and practical workshops. These activities are designed to reduce barriers to participation, particularly for young people, early-career practitioners, disabled people and carers, and those facing financial or social obstacles to accessing arts and culture.

    In Progress

When needed, the studio will host short-term artist In Progress occupations, offering space for live making, experimentation and exchange. These projects are process-led and provide opportunities for artists and audiences to engage with work in development.

    Community and Collaboration

Amici Studio works closely with local partners and organisations, including Project Art Works, who are based in the same building. Collaboration and shared activity are central to the Studio’s approach, supporting connections across practices and communities.
